After Brexit, I found that European customers were sometimes subjected to duty, local taxes and handling charges upon delivery. I have, therefore, changed my pricing policy to remain competitive for international orders.
The pricing is now quoted as "tax free" and local taxes (VAT) are only applied to UK customers. The total UK charge is shown on the shop images but will only be added to the total at the checkout.
I have also reduced my UK shipping charges to reflect the lower cost of UK delivery relative to the post Brexit international shipping charges.
Note that shipping is expensive to all destinations due to the size of the antenna packages and my shipping charges do not reflect the full cost.
The rules for duty, tax and handling are specific to each country and may not be applied consistently by the shipping agent. Some customers are reporting no additional charges whilst others are being subjected to local VAT/tax and a handling charge of around 20€. Unfortunately I have no control over the application of these charges and cannot forecast them in advance.
